Modernising Justice Seminar Sparks Antiterrorism Debate

More than 30 delegates attended ISM's "Connecting Custody for Safer Detention" seminar at the Modernising Justice event held at the QE2 conference Centre in London on June 6. The seminar, which was delivered by Stephen Smith, Sales and Marketing Director, sparked an animated discussion afterwards. Said Smith, "After the seminar, a number of the seminar attendees came to our stand, wanting to know more about ISM's antiterrorism systems. Since this event, we have established several high-level meetings, making it an incredibly worthwhile use of our time."

ISM Backing ‘Best of British’

ISM is poised to launch a brand-new marketing campaign. The "Best of British - Buy Ultimate 3000" campaign will launch Ultimate 3000, ISM’s intercom security system into the security installation marketplace. Stephen Smith, Sales and Marketing Director is the first to admit that until now, Ultimate 3000 has been a best kept secret from this marketplace, explaining, "Since its launch, 18 months ago, Ultimate 3000 has led in many diverse sectors including police, prisons, universities, criminal courts and housing associations. However, we as a company have fallen short by not proactively marketing it to the security installation sector. This is now set to change and we’re entering this marketplace with our guns blazing!" ISM is taking on Complus, a competitor to Ultimate 3000. Smith continues, "Not only is Ultimate 3000 up to 30% more competitive on its supply price, it also includes full digital audio using 4 wire, VoIP options plus electronic and isolated channels - in the event of vandalism or failure, the system is unaffected. When it comes to British manufacturing, design and build there isn't a product that comes close to Ultimate 3000."

Business Buoyant Despite Troubled Economy

The team at ISM are reporting business growth within the high security project market sectors despite the current turbulent economic conditions. Said MD, David Jenkins, "What we’re finding is that although some of the organisations that have asked us to provide a quotation are taking longer than usual to arrive at a decision, this is more than offset by a significant increase in demand for our systems. We put this down to the power of positive referral. More organisations than ever are contacting us as a direct result of being recommended by a client. When you add to this the fact that security is now at the top of an organisation's agenda, it's easy to see why we're holding our own even though we are not in a buoyant global economy."

ISM Deliver to housing project in Islington

The wide reaching capabilities of the Ultimate 3000™ audio exchange system have been the first VOIP and Air (Wi-Fi) audio telephone entry system for social housing.

This has been a very successful technically advanced project giving remote concierge telephone entry to enable both tenants and housing management staff to communicate via the telephone entry system as well as to remotely manage the access to the building via the secure entrance lobby doors. The system does not rely on computers for the concierge system unlike the majority of the systems currently available, as our Ultimate 3000™ intelligent feature phone handset enables full concierge functionality.

A Safe Pair of Hands for Northumbria Police...

ISM has been awarded the first custody suite for Northumbria Police. After the project team at Northumbria police had investigated other providers in the marketplace, they were unanimous in the decision to award the project to ISM. Said Stephen Smith ISM Marketing and Sales Director, "We encouraged the team at Northumbria police to look at what else was available in the marketplace before arriving at a decision. However, they came back to us because they were confident in our ability to deliver a practical and easy to use system that will meet their requirements in full."

ISM Deliver UK 1st for Homes for Islington...

The wide reaching capabilities of the Ultimate 3000™ audio exchange system have been attributed to ISM developing the first through air (WiFi) audio entry system for social housing association, Homes for Islington. Thanks to the overwhelming success of this project, ISM has now been specified for another similar scheme in the Islington Borough.

Ultimate Speech Clarity... HOSDB gives thumbs up...

When HOSDB (Home Office Scientific Development Branch) set the benchmark for audio cell core systems in March 2009, the first system to be tested for clarity of speech was the ISM system at the Gatwick Immigration Removal Centre. On every single cell tested, Ultimate 3000™ Seltec, (ISM’s digital audio system) passed with flying colours. The industry will now have to fall in line to meet these newly created standards.
