Elevating security standards through cyber assurance

At ISM, we understand that for high-stakes environments like nuclear sites, airports, and prisons, "good enough" is a significant risk. This is why we have pursued and maintained the most rigorous accreditations in the industry, ensuring your estate remains resilient against both physical and digital threats.

We don't just follow standards, we help define what excellence looks like for CNI and custodial security.

Elevating security standards through cyber assurance

Cyber Assurance of Physical Security Systems (CAPSS)

While NPSA is the lead authority for physical security and NCSC leads on all things cyber, there is a critical programme within NPSA that covers both physical and cyber security called CAPSS.

CAPSS is about gaining confidence in the ‘cyber’ components of electronic security products which, while robust in the physical security domain, could potentially be compromised by a hacker using cyber means. CAPSS has been jointly written by NCSC and NPSA leveraging the expertise of both technical authorities.

ISM holds CAPSS (Cyber Assurance of Physical Security Systems) approval. This rigorous certification provides the “sleep-at-night” security that our clients demand. You can trust that our Genesis platform has been stress-tested against the most sophisticated cyber-physical attacks. Choosing a CAPSS-approved partner such as ISM simplifies the tender process and ensures alignment with national security requirements.

Other Accreditations

Aviation

Our solutions are developed in harmony with Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and Department for Transport (DfT) guidelines to keep passenger flow efficient and sterile zones secure.

Custodial & Justice

With a 60–70% market share in England's custodial suites, our reputation for reliability is our greatest accreditation. We ensure your facility meets strict government frameworks while providing a safe migration path from end-of-life hardware.

Cyber Essentials Plus

While standard certification is a strong start, high-stakes environments demand a higher level of verification. ISM holds the Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation, which involves a hands-on technical audit and rigorous "stress-testing" of our systems by an independent assessor.
